Mechanics

Wondrous Item, rare, requires attunement by a Cleric or Paladin

A hood of white silk threaded with gold, veiling the eyes completely. Holy light seeps faintly from beneath, as though her gaze itself is dawn.

Once attuned, the veil cannot be removed willingly unless you spend a long rest in consecrated ground or succeed on a remove curse spell cast upon you.

Blessing of the Dawn. While in bright light or sunlight, whenever you cast a spell that restores hit points, the target regains additional hit points equal to your proficiency bonus times the spell slot level used to cast it. You also have advantage on Constitution saving throws made to maintain concentration on a spell while in bright light.

Sight of the Dawn: Your normal vision and Darkvision are suppressed. If you have normally have darkvision, do you lose this ability. Otherwise in dim light or darkness, your sight is hazy, giving you disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Burden of Shadow: When you cast a healing or buff spell in dim light or darkness, you take radiant damage equal to the spell slot level used to cast it.
